What is love?
Love can be sweet. A patient drizzle on a warm evening the full moon and full laughter. Calming chatter fills the air and the sweet scent of a couple’s dinner emanating the atmosphere. The rain gently pats at the window and the candle lights shines dimly. Two lovers hand in hand caressing… Soft stares. Love can be beautiful.
But theirs was unnatural
A temptress’ tempest calling out in her siren song. A live so codependent in the end none is strong. I picture it as a boat in vast seas when the winds blow against it and the water inside flows; when the storm rages and the dark clouds grow. When the boat begins to go down and the life raft has only space for one. When one lovers life is in the hands of the other. When it’s like the titanic and Rose let’s Jack die.
Love can be pain
The pain of letting go, giving up and saying goodbye. Watching it fade away as time ticks by. Grasping your lovers hand as you say your final prayers
Love can be death
And only the skeleton bones of your lover remains.
