Aphrodite's curse

I raise a glass, not for anything special. "Special" things happen so often they lose their spark and value. All so goddamn common, I hate it. I hate it when people say to treasure the little things because it makes everything a treasure. All enough to make 'I love you' as common as sand, truly meaningless.

I hate that a core part of being who I am is wanting and craving love, its almost like an addiction. A constant consuming wanting and needing. We often fail to see how fast love can shift to hate, not just for the person but for the little things we treasure about them and the times we were with them.

Love in this generation has been trivialised. What should be simple, an "if you know you know" emotion has been riddled with theories and rules that build on insecurities that constantly circle back to it being a challenge. The curse of Aphrodite, a bet.

"If I know I'm loved no matter what, where's the challenge?" - Amy Dunne (Gone Girl)

You went ahead to falsely accuse a man, Mark Talamson of rape, got him assaulted without a single proof. You're a vile human being, pretentious & drug abuser. We will ensure that you are arrested Kal Emmie.

Shame on you.
