What does enough mean?

Does it mean being satisfied with what you have or with the quality of things in your life. Does being enough mean you satisfy the needs of being human? You have all the qualities, the perks, quirks and little pieces that make you almost perfect. Does it entail having the right amount of beauty, humor or values. What is the measure of enough?

It's relative

Being enough isnt necessarily a single fit. Its dependent on the person whose eye you wish to catch. You have to change the little things to be this person's enough.

You pick and choose the bits and pieces that reflect the little things they say. You replicate their gestures and jokes. How many times they inhale, how frequently their eyebrows raise. How delicate they step on the ground.

You become

A version of them by mistake. Your identities amalgamate and suddenly you cant face a situation without thinking like them. You mimic how frequently they lick their lips or scratch the back of their neck. You lose yourself trying to be 'enough'. You tread on the thin line that may be too much and when they do leave you dont know who you are.

So you wait

Eagerly for the next person that you will become. The next temporary fix of dependence. You cannot stand to be someone else because you cannot mirror yourself. You lack a sense of being so much so that you are addicted to a love that you cannot handle. But thats just the point, to try and grasp it. Your yearning is to be a person you are not, you ail from a ceaseless need to feel wanted and enough.

That's the curse of being who you are.
